Camp policy

As most protest sites, we’re all about trying to make the world a little bit of a better place for everyone and everything to be living in. Respect is a good word.

Safer Spaces Agreement:
Making sure the Faslane Peace Camp is a safe environment for all participants and visitors is everyone’s responsibility. By being here, you agree to uphold a minimum standard of behaviour which is respectful of others and their comfort and safety. Additionally, you are asked not to consume alcohol or other drugs in shared spaces.

In particular, the following will not be tolerated at any time:
– Violence, or threats of violence
– Drug- or alcohol-induced aggression
– Sexual assault or harassment
– Theft

We also have an absolute zero tolerance for the hazardous and disrespectful isms out there. So, it’s a definite no to:
– Homophobia & Transphobia
– Racism and xenophobia
– Misogyny and sexism
– Ableism

If you disagree or disrespect:
Anyone who cannot or will not make this agreement is asked to leave: we’re all different, and if you cannot accept the values presented here you’re better off somewhere else.

If you have any questions, consult a Peace Camper: there’s no stupid question, only daft thing you could do would be not to ask and remain uncertain. If you want to amend this policy, bring it up in a meeting.
